Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review transaction monitoring alerts (wallet, merchant, P2P, cash-in/out, cross-border).
- Analyze transactions against customer profiles, KYC, and EMI limits.
- Conduct investigations using internal systems, customer data, and open-source information.
- Escalate suspicious cases to MLRO and assist in preparing STRs for FIU.
- Apply SBP AML/CFT regulations and internal policies consistently.
- Identify false positives and close low-risk cases; escalate high-risk or complex cases.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections.
- Monitor SAR/alert review their dispositions, and provide guidance.
- Recommend enhancements to transaction monitoring rules, thresholds, and typologies.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Understanding of AML/CFT concepts and transaction monitoring.
- Strong analytical, investigation, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of EMI products, wallet limits, and digital payment risks.
- Ability to monitor staff and exercise sound risk judgment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance/Accounting (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field.
- 3–6 years in AML transaction monitoring or financial crime investigation (EMI, bank, fintech).
- AML certifications (CAMS, ICA) preferred.
SYSTEMS & TOOLS:
- Transaction monitoring platforms (Actimize, Oracle Mantas, Feedzai, etc.).
- EMI core platforms, data analytics, case management, and regulatory reporting systems.
