Job Description

As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and controlling project schedules across the engineering, procurement, and construction lifecycle.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimation, Procurement, Site/Construction teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure project activities remain aligned with contractual milestones, planned resources, and delivery targets.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

𝟏. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠
Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
Establish project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activities, milestones, calendars, durations, and logical relationships.
Integrate Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) activities into a coordinated project schedule.
𝟐. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥
Collect and validate actual progress from engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Update project schedules periodically and maintain accurate schedule status.
Compare planned vs. actual progress and identify schedule variances.
Monitor critical path, milestones, float, productivity, and key deliverables.
𝟑. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 & 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
Perform resource loading for manpower, equipment, and other project resources.
Support cost-loaded scheduling and planned vs. actual cost monitoring.

𝟒. 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐬
Monthly progress reports
Look-ahead schedules
S-curves
Progress dashboards
Planned vs. actual reports
Schedule variance reports
Critical path reports

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Construction Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 3–7+ years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, project controls, construction, or EPC environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
  • Experience with EPC, construction, engineering, industrial, infrastructure, or international projects.
  • Exposure to US/international projects and contractual project requirements.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, AACE
